Application

Open EGL-2.4.5.exe and follow the instructions.You may need to remove the existing EGL application to install the new version. If so, the installer will ask you to remove it.

Examples

There are three folders with examples. These folders can be put in some convenient location under the user home directory.

The folder Hilo has project Hilo.egl and the corresponding transect file.

The folder ASCE 7-16 Commentary Example has project Monterey.egl and the corresponding transect file. This example is from the ASCE 7-16 Commentary. Insignificant differences in results are a result of using h_R = 0, rather than the 0.1 ft used in the Commentary. Note that it is unnecessary to use an artificial value for h_R, as suggested in the Commentary.

The folder Overwash uses a transect from Coos Bay, Oregon that illustrates an Overwash EGL analysis.
